Description
- Hachi's grandparents throw grand house parties almost every holiday. (It's considered an honor to be invited to them.) This is where Hachi has met some of her close friends.
One of these friends just so happened to be Ayano.
Of course their first interaction was met with mixed results at the age of 6-8 years old.
Hachi was a very hyperactive child and immediately was ready to be friends with this girl. Ayano was a more than a little anxious having someone so hyper and full of energy wanting to be her friend. She spent the rest of the party in her little bubble.
Fast-forward a few years and the two of them are in middle school; Hachi has tried to engage in conversations with Ayano at the parties but was met with little to no interactions with her.
Ayano was obviously a target for bullying because of her shy nature. Hachi found Ayano when she was getting bullied and stepped in.
From this moment on, Ayano eventually starts to warm up to her.

Oh my lord. I literally sat here for a few minutes squealing over this. I had the biggest, dorkiest smile fixed to my face. Pfft~!! These babies are too pure for the world, not even joking. The whole story behind this is just utterly fantastic. I really love the whole concept of them meeting and bonding in such a way, having some history together. It's so heartwarming to see Hachi, who is a truly wonderful character and an absolute sweetheart, stay so determined with wanting to interact with Ayano and even protecting her. Bless this sweet honey bee's soul. And ahhh!!! The artwork so far looks utterly magnificent!!! I simply can't help but admire the way your digital WIP sketches look. Just the sketchy, almost messy nature to the lines adds so much charm and character to the work. Both girls have been wonderful drawn here as well!! Hhhh. I honestly can't believe you're making this artwork. Just. Thank you. Like my goodness. I'm crying, you're so kind. Definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product. ;v; I'm extremely honoured by the fact that Hachi and Ayano have such history together. Like ahhh!!!
